This year, Mountain Dew is celebrating where it all began. Born in the foothills of Tennessee in 1948, Mountain Dew has been a good time for a long time.

Mountain Dew's new campaign traces our story back to the beginning: two brothers in the hills of Tennessee, perfecting a bold citrus flavor that would eventually become one of the most recognized drinks in the country.

In honor of America’s 250th anniversary and the 78 year history of Mountain Dew, we’re dropping American Dew – a limited-edition wrapped can and bottle available nationwide starting April 20. The new look commemorates our Tennessee roots in 1948 Appalachia and will only be around for a limited-time. Same bold Mountain Dew flavor, dressed for a very special occasion.
